I finally managed to find out some information about the Converse/Missoni collaboration I been hearing about since the men European runway shows in June (where a pair were spotted on the feet of a Missoni member of the family at the label runway presentation in Milan),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
The classic Chuck Taylor All Star high-top shoe is going to be served up in 2 different versions of Missoni signature zigzag pattern printed about the sides and tongue,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with colors that tie to Missoni Fall/Winter 2010 menswear collection. The circle patch (the design that sits at about the ankle bone from the wearer) is rendered in brown leather,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and also the traditional "license plate logo" in the heel is monochrome.
In the prepared press materials,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Missoni creative director Angela Missoni explained the decision to use the Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette: "It mythical to me; [it the one that kids of times have liked to wear and it is still the best today."
