NEW YORK, July 9 () -- Crude oil prices closed in on $104 per barrel in New York, remaining elevated as geopolitical tension in Egypt has triggered concern over supply lines. Egypt's interim President Adli Mansour released a proposed timeline for new elections, but not all political groups warmed to the proposal immediately, The Financial Times reported.In New York, West Texas Intermediate crude added 85 cents to reach $103.99 per barrel.Reformulated blendstock gasoline gained 4.66 cents to $2.9847 per gallon. Home heating oil added 0.46 cents to reach $2.9847 per gallon.Natural gas dropped 7.8 cents to $3.663 per million British thermal units.At the pump, the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline was $3.483, up from Monday's $3.474, the AAA Fuel Gauge report said.
