NEW YORK, June 7 () -- A new Broadway musical based on Robert James Waller's best-selling novel "The Bridges of Madison County" is to start performances Jan. 13, producers announced.Directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, the show will officially open at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in late February. No casting has been announced yet."This story about a devoted Iowa housewife and her unlikely love affair with a National Geographic photographer has inspired seven of the theater's most distinguished artists to create a new Broadway musical," a news release said.The show will feature music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown and a book by Marsha Norman.
