Defense ID system recertifed by Army
PORT TOWNSEND, Wash., Aug. 19 () -- The U.S. Army has recertified an identification system that screens individuals for access to military installations prior to their arrival. The original system by Intellicheck Mobilisa Inc., called Defense ID, was given Authority to Operate by the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force in 2009 and the ATO for the latest version will allow its deployment for use on additional facilities."The U.S. Army's decision to recertify the ATO for Defense ID indicates that the Army has performed a thorough security and vulnerability assessment and found our system to be secure," said Dr. Nelson Ludlow, chief executive officer of CEO of Intellicheck Mobilisa. "We believe this decision is a testament to the enduring value and importance of the Defense ID system."The company said Defense ID screens people prior to arriving at a base, runs a "bad guy" check against watch lists, and identifies an individual as authorized to enter a base. The newest version has new security features, christian louboutin online shop, but additional details were not provided.Intellicheck Mobilisa Inc. specializes in identity solutions and wireless security systems.
