WASHINGTON,[url=http://www.ewwealth.com/]christian louboutin discount[/url], July 30 () -- The government of Qatar is seeking to buy an early warning radar system from the United States.The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in its notification to Congress the Foreign Military Sales deal for one A/N FPS-132 Block 5 Early Warning Radar system would include associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support.The sale would carry an estimated value of $1.1 billion."The acquisition of this air defense system would provide a permanent defensive capability to the Qatar Peninsula as well as protection of the economic infrastructure and well-being of Qatar," the agency said. "The proposed sale will help strengthen Qatar's capability to counter current and future threats in the region and reduce dependence on U.S. forces."Specifically requested by Qatar is one A/N FPS-132 Early Warning Radar including its prime mission equipment package; technical and support facilities; communication equipment; encryption devices; spare and repair parts; support and test equipment; and personnel training and training equipment.U.S. government and contractor engineering, technical and logistics support services would be included.Raytheon would be the prime contractor.
