CSUB Basketball prepared to replace your NBA Void
The first official Men's Basketball game of the season was anything but average, it was BIG. An eventful start in front of almost 2000 cheering fans, beating out Pepperdine 79-70, with Pepperdine coming off a 66-60 win at Arizona State on Tuesday and CSUB winning 60-58 at Cal Poly Wednesday, a win that looks even more impressive after Cal Poly beat USC on Saturday. CSUB men are off to a Big start.

But the CSUB athletes and coaches are not just asking for the community support, they have a new program in place to support the community. Project 3000 - it's a program where the coaches, players and athletic department is giving 3000 community service hours back to the Kern county communities. Plans are in place to assist in areas in which they reside and work in. They have several projects already in the works with more to be rolled out. What a great way to show their communities thank you for your support and we care too.

It's a good time that feeds about 2,300 people in one night, with tickets about $30.00. Local farmer Gary Icardo continues the tradition his late father,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Jimmie Icardo, started in the 1970s. This year they grilled Harris Ranch steaks at Icardo. By having it at Icardo, people could experience the venue they were supporting. This gives people in the community an opportunity to come out and be served by the players, have some good food, drinks, live entertainment, a lot of fun and laughter.
